As spring approaches, many Eden Prairie families with children are turning their thoughts to summer: summer camps, specifically. You’ll find a wide variety of camps offered in Eden Prairie, in close proximity, or with clear Eden Prairie connections. Offerings range from full- and half-day camps to overnight camps, with themes covering fine arts, nature, sports, and more. Many religious organizations also run summer programming.
Some camps may have already opened 2023 registration, while others will open soon. Eden Prairie Local News cannot guarantee camp availability; some camps may be full and/or have waiting lists.

Camp Fire Teen Leadership Development
The Leadership Development Program is designed to progressively transform campers into counselors and help them build leadership skills. A typical day at Twilight Camp lasts from 1:45 – 7:45 p.m. Girls arrive in the day camp and check in, then spend the day in one of the themed “sites” (picnic shelters). Typical activities include outdoor games, STEM activities, crafts, woodcraft activities, and swimming.

The goal of LIT camp is to teach the general skills of leadership that can be used at school, home, and community. Teens also work to create a cover letter and resume for future employment seeking.
