The gym floor at the Eden Prairie Community Center is currently being replaced.
According to an update this week on the City of Eden Prairie website, line painting on the new flooring in the gym began Thursday and is scheduled to continue throughout the Memorial Day weekend.
During this time, residents should be aware that there may be a strong odor from the line painting process. However, city officials have implemented measures to minimize the impact by keeping the doors closed and adjusting the HVAC system to improve ventilation within the facility.
The renovation project was initially expected to take three weeks to complete. But, the city managed to secure a crew for the gym painting work, initially slated for a later time, during the week of June 5.
As a result, the gym is expected to reopen on Monday, June 12.
