The Eden Prairie High School girls lacrosse team came up short in a thrilling Section 2A Championship game on Wednesday against Chanhassen, losing 16-15 in double overtime.
The Storm, playing on its home turf, jumped to a 7-0 lead in the first half, but the Eagles battled back in the second half to force overtime.
Eagles senior attacker-midfielder Brinley Hopper (5) scored seven goals and added two assists to lead the offensive attack.
Chanhassen advances to the State Tournament next week, while Eden Prairie concludes its season with a 10-5 record.
