A series of free music performances is livening up the Eden Prairie Center mall this month, as local orchestras and bands visit to share their talents with the community.
“Delightfully in Tunes” has already featured performances from the Eden Prairie Community Band, Eden Prairie High School (EPHS) orchestra, and many more.
Four musical performances are still upcoming:
- Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m.: Our Lady of the Lake Choir and Band
- Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 4:30 p.m.: Chaska Middle School West Bands
- Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 11:30 a.m.: Eden Prairie High School Wind Ensemble
- Thursday, Dec. 21, at 7 p.m.: Eden Prairie Community Band — The Jazz on the Prairie Big Band

The Eden Prairie Community Band is an adult community band of over 60 musicians. It was organized in 1973 and is currently under the direction of Tom Muehlbauer. Flute Cocktail of Minnesota performed on Dec. 16. The group is comprised of professional and amateur flutists from a wide variety of backgrounds, according to the group’s website.
