With registration having opened in late February for Eden Prairie Schools’ Eagle Zone and EPIC summer programs, and registration for Eden Prairie Parks and Rec’s summer camps opening on March 6, families with school-age children may be planning their summer activities well in advance of spring break.
You’ll find a wide variety of camps offered in Eden Prairie, in close proximity, or with clear Eden Prairie connections. Offerings range from full- and half-day camps to overnight camps, with themes covering fine arts, nature, sports, and more. Many religious organizations also run summer programming.
As stated, some camps may have already opened 2024 registration, while others will open soon. Eden Prairie Local News cannot guarantee camp availability; some camps may be full and/or have waiting lists.

Camp Fire Teen Leadership Development

Discovery Kids Summer Camp
Five-day camps from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Camp takes place on the private 57-acre wooded campus of The International School of Minnesota, adjacent to the Three Rivers Park District’s Bryant Lake Park and beach. Girl Scouts Twilight Camp
A typical day at Twilight Camp lasts from 1:45-7:45 p.m. Girls arrive at the day camp and check in, then spend the day in one of the themed “sites” (picnic shelters). Typical activities include outdoor games, STEM activities, crafts, woodcraft activities, and swimming. This year’s theme is “Twilight Through the Pages,” with literature-themed program areas and activities.

Leaders in Training
Day-camp; teen-only training in mornings; assisting camp counselors with younger children in afternoons at a camp location. The goal of LIT camp is to teach the general skills of leadership that can be used at school, home, and community. The curriculum includes leadership, communication and problem-solving skills and includes community components such as volunteering and service projects. Teens also work to create a cover letter and resume for future employment seeking.
