As the winter chill thaws, residents of Eden Prairie and beyond anticipate the signs of spring: blossoming flowers, chirping birds, and the promise of outdoor activities.
What better way to kick off the season than by attending the 22nd annual Everything Spring Expo, hosted by the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce on March 9 at Grace Church? This year marked the third consecutive year under the stewardship of Kirsten Barott, the chamber’s relationship and events manager, leaving attendees eagerly awaiting next year’s event.
More than 90 vendors filled the expo space inside Grace Church, creating an atmosphere of excitement and opportunity. Attendees were treated to a smorgasbord of offerings from various industries, ranging from home interior and exterior design to landscaping, pest control, insurance, and more. Whether looking to revamp living spaces or enhance gardens, the expo offered something for everyone.
One of the undeniable highlights of the event was the presence of Goldy, Jewel, and Thumper, three adorable goats from B3 Goats Mitigation Services in Glencoe. Their playful antics and charming demeanor stole the hearts of attendees, adding an extra layer of delight to an already vibrant atmosphere. Both kids and adults alike were enamored by the friendly goats, eagerly petting them and posing for pictures.
But the fun didn’t stop there. Attendees were treated to an array of activities, both familiar and new. Free 15-minute massages and an abundance of candy offered indulgence, while games like bean toss and the spinning wheel delighted both children and adults. Photo opportunities and face painting provided endless entertainment.
Among the sea of vendors, recognizable names such as Xcel Energy, StarTribune, Norwex, T-Mobile, and Eden Prairie Local News (EPLN) stood out, showcasing their offerings and engaging with the community.
However, beyond the business booths and activities, what truly defined the Everything Spring Expo was the camaraderie and joy permeating the air. Smiles were ubiquitous as neighbors mingled, exchanging ideas and forging new connections. It was truly a celebration of community spirit and the eager anticipation of brighter days ahead.
The expo provided the perfect place for those looking to turn their spring aspirations into reality. Whether seeking expert advice on home improvement projects or exploring the latest trends in landscaping and gardening, attendees found themselves surrounded by knowledgeable professionals ready to lend a helping hand.
During this year’s expo, organizers showcased a variety of sustainability and eco-friendly initiatives from vendors.
For example, Mighty Dog Roofing presented solar garden options, promoting renewable energy and smaller carbon footprints. B3 Goats, a mitigation service, demonstrated eco-friendly methods to eliminate invasive buckthorn. Cleaning services emphasized their use of environmentally friendly products to minimize chemical exposure.
Additionally, exhibitors in the exteriors and windows sectors highlighted energy-efficient products and practices aimed at reducing energy costs.
As we bid farewell to winter and embrace the warmth of spring, events like the Everything Spring Expo serve as a reminder of the boundless possibilities that lie ahead. With its diverse offerings, engaging activities, and infectious energy, it’s no wonder that the expo has become a beloved tradition in Eden Prairie.
So, as you prepare to welcome the changing seasons, remember to mark your calendars for next year’s Everything Spring Expo on Saturday, March 8, 2025. From new beginnings to cherished traditions, it’s a day sure to be filled with smiles.
