A pillar of strength and joy, Dana touched the lives of all who knew her with her radiant spirit. She was a treasured wife, beloved mother, cherished friend, and radiant presence in the lives of all who knew her. Dana leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and vibrant energy that will forever be remembered. Her passing leaves a void in our hearts that can never be filled, but her joy will continue to guide us through the days ahead.
Born on June 30, 1968, to Lowell Daws and Alice (Huss) Meyer in Faribault, Minnesota, Dana lived a life filled with laughter and an unyielding zest for adventure and was a beacon of joy from the very beginning.
Dana grew up in Faribault, graduating from the Faribault High School with the class of 1986, then continued on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Mankato State University. Throughout her life, she embraced every moment with an unparalleled energy for life, infusing warmth and happiness into the hearts of those around her. Her contagious laughter and unwavering positivity illuminated those around her, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Dana adored her husband, Nathan, whom she happily married on Sept. 5, 1998, with a depth of love that knew no bounds. Her marriage was a testament to the power of love, respect, and unwavering commitment, and Nathan was her true partner in every sense of the word. Together, they created a lifetime of cherished memories, laughter, and love that will endure for eternity.
Dana was most happy to be a devoted mother to her three spirited and beautiful children: Nicholas, Leah and Lora. Dana poured her heart and soul into nurturing, guiding, and loving them unconditionally. She was their rock, their confidante, and their greatest supporter, instilling in them the values of compassion, kindness, and resilience and always encouraging them to chase their dreams and embrace life’s adventures with open arms.
Dana had a thirst for exploration and adventure. Whether she was traveling all over the country, indulging in her career, or simply enjoying the beauty of Midwestern nature, she approached every experience with enthusiasm and curiosity. Dana loved spending time together and hosting friends and family at their home in Eden Prairie, and also at their cabin in Luck, Wisconsin. Many fond memories were made enjoying cookouts, boat parades, fireworks displays, and sharing funny stories and swatting mosquitoes while sitting around an evening fire. Her adventurous spirit inspired those around her to embrace the richness of life and savor every moment.
In addition to her devotion to her family, Dana was a beloved friend and cherished member of her community. Her warm smile, kind heart, and genuine interest in others endeared her to all who knew her, and her friendships were a source of joy and support throughout her life.
Though Dana may have left this world far too soon, her spirit will continue to shine brightly through the countless memories she created and the lives she touched. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the incredible woman she was and the profound impact she had on us all.
