The Wings of the North (WOTN) Air Museum will hold its annual spring pancake breakfast at Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie from 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4.
The cost is $10 per adult and $25 for a family of two adults and two children, with additional children ages 6 to 12 costing $5 each; children under 5 eat free. Admission to the museum is included with breakfast.
A brief program will be held at about 9:15 a.m., during which WOTN will present donation checks to students and staff members from the recently launched aviation curriculums at both Eden Prairie and Minnetonka high schools.
According to a museum press release, the funds are intended to “encourage students to pursue aviation as a career, for pleasure, or both.” The organization expressed pride in encouraging “the next generation of aviation and aerospace students.”
On display will be the airplane that will be given away later this year in the WOTN 2024 Airplane Sweepstakes. Entries into the sweepstakes are available on the WOTN website.
The Grand Prize drawing will be held at the group’s fall pancake breakfast with several other prizes given away leading up to the airplane drawing. The winner of the airplane will have their choice of the aircraft or an alternate cash prize of $35,000.
Other aircraft will also be on display during the spring pancake breakfast, weather permitting.
The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, and it is available for private tours and parties at other times.
It is situated at 14857 Pioneer Trail in Eden Prairie, accessible through Gate H at the northwest corner of Flying Cloud Airport. Upon arrival, visitors can follow the instructions provided at the call box for entry and then proceed according to the signs directing them to the museum.
