EP student appearing in Gustavus Adolphus musical
Julia Nelson, a sophomore theater major, is playing the roles of Ted and Aster in the musical “Peter and the Starcatcher” at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter from May 9-12.
“Peter and the Starcatcher” is based on the 2004 novel “Peter and the Starcatchers” by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, adapted for the stage by Rick Elice. The musical provides a backstory for the characters of Peter Pan, Mrs. Darling, Tinker Bell and Captain Hook, serving as a prequel for J.M. Barrie’s “Peter and Wendy.”
The performances are happening from May 9-11 at 8 p.m. and from May 11-12 at 2 p.m. Gustavus Adolphus College is located at 800 W College Ave. in St Peter.
