The Minnesota Political Contribution Refund (PCR) Program allows Minnesotans to donate $75 per person or $150 per married couple to candidates for Minnesota state offices and/or Minnesota political parties and receive a refund up to those amounts.
Participation follows a three-step process:
- Send your contribution directly to a qualifying candidate through their website.
- Your candidate’s treasurer will send you a contribution receipt and PCR application form in the mail.
- Complete the PCR application form and mail it to the Minnesota Department of Revenue with the contribution receipt. You will receive a refund check in the mail or direct deposit. It’s your choice.
To qualify for the Minnesota PCR program, you must meet a few requirements:
- You are a United States citizen.
- You are age 18 years or older.
- You lived in Minnesota for at least 20 days immediately before any 2024 statewide or local election in which you would be eligible to vote if you were registered
