Eden Prairie Schools will run a reunification drills at Forest Hills Elementary and Central Middle School on Wednesday, Aug. 7, as part of its safety protocol.
The drill will be coordinated in partnership with Eden Prairie Fire and Police departments. Visitors to both sites may see emergency vehicles and personnel at those two buildings that day, which will be part of the reunification exercise.
Also, as part of the drill, the district will post social media messages on Aug. 7 with “DRILL” at the top.
“Our entire team — even down to the person posting to social media — will be involved in the simulation so that we are all prepared to respond quickly and effectively in a real life event,” the district said in a message on its website.
The district also said that all of its participating families have been notified in advance.
