Eden Prairie residents are encouraged to submit questions for candidates participating in next month’s election forums hosted by the League of Women Voters Minnetonka-Eden Prairie-Hopkins.
These forums will feature candidates for the Eden Prairie School Board, Hennepin County Commissioner District 6, state representatives for House Districts 49A and 49B, and the Eden Prairie City Council, all of whom will be on the Nov. 5 ballot.
Voters can submit their questions online ahead of the events or in person during the forums. The League advises that questions should be relevant to all candidates, forward-looking, and focused on the roles each office entails. Personal or inappropriate questions will be excluded. To ensure impartiality, the identity of those submitting questions will remain confidential.
To submit questions online, residents can visit the League’s website and choose the appropriate forum link.
Additionally, the League of Women Voters of Bloomington will host a candidate forum for Hennepin County Commissioner District 5 from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Bloomington Civic Plaza Council Chambers, 1800 W. Old Shakopee Road.
Attendees may submit written questions during the forum or in advance by emailing the Bloomington league.
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan organization, promotes informed civic participation and public understanding of key policy issues.
