Hennepin County is set to begin pavement improvements on Baker Road (County Road 60) between Fairway Drive in Eden Prairie and Interstate 494 in Minnetonka.
The work, scheduled for late August, includes applying a surface treatment to rejuvenate the existing pavement, making the road safer for drivers.
Crews will work on one side of the road at a time, with flaggers directing traffic through the work zone in one direction at a time. Drivers should stay alert and be prepared for delays.
This project is part of a larger effort to refresh several roads across the county. The schedule depends on weather, with each section expected to take two to three days. All dates are tentative and could change.
During the process, workers will apply a surface treatment that might stay sticky for a few hours, followed by a coating of limestone sand. If your driveway connects directly to the work area, be aware that driving over the fresh treatment could leave marks on light-colored concrete. Crews will return a day or two later to sweep up any leftover sand.
