PROP Food Shelf is kicking off fall with its inaugural PROP-TOBERFEST fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 22. This “day of family fun” will be held at Fat Pants Brewing Co. in Eden Prairie from noon to 4 p.m.
A $10 wristband ($25 for families of three or more) provides access to family-friendly outdoor games hosted by area businesses and organizations and enters attendees into a drawing for door prizes. Bingo will be held indoors, offering a chance to win gift cards or baskets. Festive food and PROP-TOBERFEST beer will be available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting PROP.
Two well-loved local bands will provide live music. The widely popular children’s music and entertainment group, The Jolly Pops, will perform from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. Classic rock cover band Wondercure, made up of six members with ties to Eden Prairie, will wrap up the day from 2 to 4 p.m.
“Our goal for PROP-TOBERFEST is for everyone to have a great time and to raise dollars to help fund PROP’s increasing cost of providing food, housing and financial support to over 5,000 people per year,” said Matt Dymoke, PROP Food development director.
PROP Food is a registered 501(c)(3) that provides nourishment to people in the community and comprehensive support to Eden Prairie and Chanhassen residents facing financial, housing, or employment insecurity.
