On a sunny Saturday afternoon, the aroma of craft beer and the sound of live music filled Purgatory Creek Park as the 10th annual Prairie Brewfest, sponsored by the Eden Prairie Community Foundation, drew a record-breaking crowd.
The event, held on Sept. 7, brought together the community to enjoy craft beer, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities, all while raising funds for local causes.
“The event was a success! People had a great time,” said Greg Leeper, the foundation’s executive director. “We set an all-time attendance record with over 800 people, exceeding our expectations. We wanted to attract a broader audience from the community, so for the first time, we allowed kids and provided a non-alcoholic ticket option. This seemed to help fuel the growth in attendance. It was also great to see a number of well-behaved pups in attendance.”
As part of the event, attendees cast votes for Choice Grant recipients, resulting in $3,000 awarded to Kaleidoscope Teens, $2,000 to Brighter Days Family Grief Center, and $1,000 to Eden Prairie Local News (EPLN).
“A huge thank-you goes out to our incredible sponsors, brewers, food trucks, band, and volunteers!” Leeper added. “Their faithful support helped make the event a success.”
