A 37-year-old Eden Prairie woman is charged with making violent threats stemming from an Aug. 31 incident at an Eden Prairie home.
According to the charges:
Eden Prairie police were dispatched in response to a report of domestic violence. A male victim told officers that upon returning home from a restaurant, his girlfriend grabbed a knife, threatened to harm herself, then turned the knife on him and walked toward him. The victim told police he was afraid she was going to stab him. He wrestled the knife away from the woman, and she left the residence.
Cellphone video taken by the victim and shown to officers was consistent with his report.
If convicted, the woman faces a maximum sentence of five years and/or a $10,000 fine.
She was released from custody Sept. 5 on $30,000 bail.
