I support Wendi Russo for SD49B Minnesota House of Representatives over the current Rep. Carlie Kotyza-Witthuhn because we need to end extreme, inefficient, and wasteful DFL spending. Waste and fraud are unacceptable. Minnesota state government has a poor record in that regard.
Does anyone remember MNLARS, the $100 million driver’s license and registration system that didn’t work? What about the incorrect MNCARE payments? Everyone knows about SW Light Rail cost overruns. The massive $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud? $430 million in unemployment benefits overpayments during the pandemic? Were you frustrated by the proposed $2,000 budget surplus refund checks that shrank into $260 refunds to a select few? And the MN Legislature missing the Federal IRS Pandemic Emergency Declaration deadline by two weeks so that refunds were subject to federal taxes? Free school meals for all, including kids of millionaires? $500 million (not including interest) to renovate the State Office Building when the valuation of the IDS building is only $180 million and over a million square feet of nearby downtown St. Paul office space is sitting empty at bargain rates? The list goes on and on.
This is your money. This is my money. We worked hard for it. We worked weekends and late hours. We sacrificed. Now it’s gone. That’s why voters are angry and disappointed with our current extreme representation. Vote with me for Wendi Russo.
