The Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools (FEPS) is accepting applications until 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, for its annual teacher and staff grants and community partnership grants.
“Our goal is to fund programs that reach Eden Prairie students of all ages and ensure we support 21st-century learning and serve underrepresented populations,” said FEPS Executive Director Lisa Sisinni. “From our earliest learners enrolled in our preschool program, all the way through the rigors of high school and TASSEL, FEPS is proud to be there every step of the way.”
Criteria for proposals include the following:
- Has a significant positive impact on student academic achievement and engagement, especially in underrepresented populations.
- Impacts a significant number of students and/or impacts a small number of students in a significant way over time.
- Inspires and is visible.
- Tied to a specific learning goal, curriculum or school program.
- Potentially duplicatable by other classrooms or sites.
- Consistent with both FEPS’ mission and the district’s strategic plans.
The Community Partnership Grant applications are open to 501(c)(3) organizations, while the Teacher Classroom and Staff Grant applications are limited to Eden Prairie Schools teachers and staff.
These grants typically range between $1,000 and $5,000.
In the past year, FEPS awarded over $52,000 worth of grants that supported bilingual textbooks, digital pianos, and more in response to teacher and staff requests, as well as My Book Day in conjunction with Eden Prairie Noon Rotary and the expansion of youth mental health counseling in the district through MoveFwd.
