Three attributes have more than earned my vote for Alex Falconer for state House in District 49A in the November election:
- Commitment – Beyond his commitment as the father of three young children, Alex is a volunteer coach of the Minnetonka High School cross-country and Nordic ski teams. He’s committed to protect the environment through his job with the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters, a position that has educated him about how things work at the state Capitol.
- Balance – Alex is endorsed by labor groups because he supports workers and their rights, but he also understands the needs of business, growing up in a small business household. He watched his father rebuild the Red Wing Stoneware Company and learned firsthand the importance of hard work, responsibility, and supporting local economies.
- Personal style – Alex is easy to be around. He hasn’t let his many accomplishments swell his head. I think it’s this humility that will make him a welcome voice of compromise and problem-solving in St. Paul.
For these reasons and many more, I urge my neighbors to vote for Alex Falconer, someone who will work for a state government that works for us all.
Jeff Smith, Minnetonka
