Elaine was a longtime parish secretary at All Saints Lutheran Church in Minnetonka and St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie and was the organist at the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (now Spirit of Peace Church) in Minnetonka. Her faith was evident in every aspect of her life and was an inspiration to many.
Her family was her greatest joy. She never missed her children’s baseball or hockey games, band performances, or choir concerts and was a devoted fan at her grandkids’ sports events and dance recitals. Friendly and sociable, she could strike up a conversation with anyone, whether at the grocery store or on a casual walk.
Elaine had a lifelong passion for fishing. From catching bullheads with her dad in her youth to reeling in sunfish, crappie, and walleye with her kids and grandkids, she loved spending hours on the dock at the cabin. The outdoors brought her happiness, and she delighted in feeding animals of all sizes.
Elaine had a knack for planning and hosting, making each holiday gathering at her home memorable with festive decorations and delicious food. She even hosted themed gatherings, like Mexican fiestas, simply because she loved tacos!
Fearless and adventurous, Elaine was always the first to jump on a snowmobile, a lake tube, or the back of a four-wheeler.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, at the Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel at 7625 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie. Visitation will occur beginning at 10 a.m., prior to the service.
