A new Chipotle Mexican Grill at 9246 Hennepin Town Road is scheduled to open Tuesday, Nov. 26. The new store, located in the northeast corner of the Preserve Village shopping center at Anderson Lakes Parkway and Highway 169, is Eden Prairie’s second Chipotle location and the first to include a drive-through pickup lane for online orders, called a “Chipotlane” in the brand’s nomenclature.
The Eden Prairie City Council approved construction of the new Chipotle in February of this year. It is the second freestanding building in the parking lot of the shopping center, which is anchored by Jerry’s Foods and Jerry’s Do It Best Hardware. The plans approved at that time called for 35 interior seats and a 16-seat patio.
According to a press release, Chipotle is hiring at the new location and across the U.S., with approximately 30 jobs per location and benefits that include a debt-free college degree program and access to mental healthcare for employees and their families. Chipotle also runs a program in which residents can set up fundraisers for local causes, with 25% of event sales going to the designated cause.
The new Chipotle will share the same hours, 10:45 a.m. – 10 p.m., with the existing Eden Prairie Chipotle Mexican Grill, which is located at 13250 Technology Drive, in the SouthWest Station retail area.
