Chuck Foreman, a former Minnesota Vikings running back who played seven seasons for the team in the 1970s, and Eden Prairie High School football coach Mike Grant will share the speaker role Dec. 17 at the Eden Prairie Lions’ 51st Annual Wild Game Dinner.
The focus of their talk will be the four Minnesota Vikings Super Bowl teams of the 1970s. Foreman played for the Vikings under former head coach Bud Grant, Mike Grant’s father.
The annual dinner, founded by Eden Prairie Lions who hunted locally at the time, will include appetizers of smoked salmon, along with a wild game dinner of venison, bear, moose, elk, and pheasant. The annual event will also have a silent auction, with 100% of the proceeds donated to charities supporting the sheltering and adoption of animals.
For tickets, priced at $30 each, and reservations, contact co-chairs Mike Gruidl at 612-644-2323 or Steve Wilson at 612-805-0762. The event will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 16516 Luther Way, Eden Prairie.
