Two new members joined the Eden Prairie Local News (EPLN) Board of Directors in 2024. Anne Byrne and Charlie Crocker were approved for three-year terms at an October board meeting held before the EPLN Annual Meeting, which was open to the public. A video of the meeting is available below. They join 10 others on the 12-member board.
Anne Byrne is an attorney and business owner at Byrne Law Office, LLC, in Minnetonka. Her practice areas include family law, estate planning, and estate administration. Her local nonprofit board experience includes serving as past president of the EPHS Booster Association and the Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools, where she also co-chaired Taste of Eden Prairie. She is a past secretary of Onward Eden Prairie and currently serves as a board member and secretary of The PROP Shop. Byrne will serve as the 2025 board chair of the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce.
Anne and her husband, Pat, have two sons and three grandsons. Anne’s hobbies include cooking, trying new restaurants, reading, skiing, golfing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
Charlie Crocker, an Eden Prairie High School graduate (and former Eagle mascot), is an account director at Media Bridge Advertising, one of the largest agencies in the Twin Cities. Previously, he spent more than eight years at The Raben Group, a progressive public policy and communications firm in Washington, D.C. Passionate about equity, politics, and civic engagement, Charlie earned a degree in political science from Boston University, completing a term in London and Washington, D.C.
He now resides in the North Loop and regularly enjoys Minneapolis’ sports, culinary, and arts scene.
The nonprofit EPLN is supported by a volunteer board of directors who bring expertise in finance, law, government, publishing, journalism, and community involvement.
