For 15 years, PROP Food has hosted Empty Bowls, an annual fundraiser aimed at raising awareness of food insecurity in Eden Prairie.

The event offers attendees a simple meal while providing an opportunity to support PROP’s mission through donations.
This year’s Empty Bowls will take place Tuesday, Feb. 18, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 13600 Technology Drive. Lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m.
Guests can watch a live pottery demonstration, select a handmade bowl to take home, and enjoy live entertainment from local musicians, including students from St. Hubert Catholic Community, song leaders from Immanuel Lutheran Church, and members of the Eden Prairie Community Band.
A silent auction will also be held, featuring a variety of items up for bid. Online bidding opens Tuesday, Feb. 11, and can be accessed through PROP’s website.
According to PROP, the event is made possible through donations from local businesses, organizations, faith communities, and individuals. Food for the event is provided by local restaurants and grocers. A full list of sponsors is available on PROP’s website.
For those unable to attend, donations can be made online or mailed to PROP Food Shelf, 14700 Martin Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344.
PROP Food is a registered nonprofit that provides food assistance and support services to residents of Eden Prairie and Chanhassen facing financial, housing, or employment challenges.
