The League of Women Voters Minnetonka-Eden Prairie-Hopkins will host a legislative update from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Ridgedale Library, 12601 Ridgedale Drive, Minnetonka. The event is open to the public, and no reservations are required.
The program will feature two one-hour panel discussions with state legislators representing the area:
10 to 11 a.m.: Minnesota Senate panel
• Ann Johnson Stewart (DFL-45, Wayzata)
• Ron Latz (DFL-46, St. Louis Park)
• Steve Cwodzinski (DFL-49, Eden Prairie) – unable to attend
11 a.m. to noon: Minnesota House panel
• Patty Acomb (DFL-45B, Minnetonka)
• Cheryl Youakim (DFL-46B, Hopkins)
• Alex Falconer (DFL-49A, Eden Prairie) – unable to attend
• Carlie Kotyza-Witthuhn (DFL-49B, Eden Prairie)
Each session will feature a panel discussion in a question-and-answer format. The League’s program team has prepared questions focusing on the legislators’ priorities and key issues for the upcoming session. Audience members will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
The League of Women Voters Minnetonka-Eden Prairie-Hopkins is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Membership is open to all citizens.
