A Minneapolis massage therapist accused in three separate sexual misconduct cases now faces an additional felony charge in Hennepin County District Court.
John Vue, 28, was charged this month with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in a criminal complaint filed in Hennepin County District Court after a woman reported that he inappropriately touched her during a massage at an Eden Prairie spa last spring.
According to the complaint, the woman scheduled a massage with Vue on May 29, 2024, at Tiger Cave Massage and Foot Spa. During the session, she reported that Vue’s hands moved to her inner thighs and made contact with her body in a way that she felt was inappropriate and intentional.
After the session, she confided in a friend who is a licensed massage therapist, who told her the actions were not part of a standard massage. She didn’t immediately report the incident. But months later, after learning that Tiger Cave had closed and reading news reports about Vue’s previous charges, she decided to come forward in January.
Vue is already facing three other felony charges related to alleged misconduct at the same spa. Two cases involve fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, in which clients say he touched them inappropriately during massages. The third case is a more serious third-degree charge alleging sexual penetration, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years. Vue has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
His first court appearance for the new charge is scheduled for March 3 in Hennepin County District Court in Minneapolis. He also has multiple court proceedings set for March 24, including a jury trial for one of the earlier cases.
Vue is not in custody.
An attorney representing Vue in his previous cases declined to comment. No attorney has been assigned yet for the latest charges, according to court records.
