Eden Prairie resident Jason Kley has been elected to a three-year term on the national Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association, the membership and trade organization for Certified Financial Planner (CFP) professionals.
Kley, senior integrated wealth advisor and director of operational excellence at Carlson Capital Management, is one of five board members who began their new terms on Jan. 1. He holds both CFP and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) certifications.
Kley’s election to the three-year term on the national board comes after years of work and advocacy with the Financial Planning Association of Minnesota, where he was a leading advocate for bringing financial education initiatives to the broader community.
A longtime proponent of financial literacy, Kley also serves on the Minnesota Council on Economic Education board, is actively engaged with the Jump$tart Coalition, and co-founded the Financial Literacy Coalition of Minnesota.
Through his efforts, he helped push forth legislation requiring high school students in Minnesota to take a personal finance course. He served as president of the Financial Planning Association of Minnesota chapter in 2018.
