Dru Alexander Barrow, a former Eden Prairie massage therapist previously convicted of criminal sexual conduct, has been charged a third time in connection with alleged misconduct during massage sessions at the now-closed Tiger Cave Massage.
Barrow, 27, was charged April 7 in Hennepin County District Court with one felony count of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in a prohibited occupational relationship. The alleged incident occurred Feb. 6, 2024, about a month before a separate alleged incident that led to a prior felony charge.
According to the newest criminal complaint, the victim reported the incident to Eden Prairie police in March after seeing media coverage of the earlier charges. She told police that during her massage, Barrow inappropriately touched her breasts after pulling away the draping that covered her body. She said Barrow used a towel to cover her eyes during the massage and later used it to wipe her breasts.
The complaint notes similarities between this incident and two previous cases involving Barrow, including his October 2024 conviction. Prosecutors said they intend to introduce those prior cases to demonstrate intent and pattern.
Barrow was convicted in October 2024 of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct stemming from a March 2024 incident at the same business. He was sentenced March 6 to four days in the Hennepin County Adult Corrections Facility and three years of supervised probation. As part of the sentence, Barrow must register as a predatory offender, attend a sex offender treatment program, and is prohibited from working in massage therapy. The court noted the restriction could be revisited by the court and probation officer if conditions are met.
In March 2025, Barrow was charged again in connection with a second allegation, this one on Feb. 10, 2024. In that case, the victim told investigators she had booked two appointments with Barrow and reported inappropriate touching during both. She said Barrow used the alias “Andy Avery” when booking sessions. An omnibus hearing in that case is scheduled for May 15.
Barrow is not in custody.
Another former therapist is also facing charges
Another former therapist from the now-closed business also faces criminal charges. John Vue, 28, of St. Paul, was charged in February with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, accused of inappropriately touching a client during a May 2024 massage at Tiger Cave Massage.
Vue is also charged with three other felonies involving three additional women. In those cases, he is accused of similar misconduct, including one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving alleged digital penetration.
According to court records, the incidents all occurred within two weeks in May 2024.
Vue has pleaded not guilty in the earlier cases and is not in custody. Prosecutors filed a motion March 31 to consolidate all four cases into a single trial, arguing they followed a common pattern and occurred during a continuous course of conduct. A hearing in his most recent case is scheduled for May 15.
