No School Day at the Art Center

Nov. 11, 9 am – 12 pm, ages 7 – 11
Face Plant…er in Clay
Participants make their own clay head based on their favorite animal, character or even a family member. Once the piece is glazed, fired and at home, use it for a plant and watch the “hair” grow! Completed projects available two weeks after class.

Personalized Bedroom Sign
Stay Out! Kids at Play. Frida’s Room. Never Grow Up. Whatever the message, participants have fun learning about composition and texture while developing designs for their very own bedroom (or tree house) sign in clay. Colorful underglazes put the final touch on the customized creations. Participants are welcome to bring their own small objects from home to use for imprinting into the clay. Completed projects available 2 weeks after class.
