The Eden Prairie boys basketball team put up 50 first-half points against Waconia on their home court Tuesday night. The Eagles balanced that with 52 points in the second half, cruising to a 102-67 win over the Wildcats.
Sophomore Max Lorenson led the Eagles with 23 points in a game where a number of players saw action off the bench.
Thirteen players put up points for the Eagles, including freshman Nolen Anderson who came off the bench and drained three straight three-point shots, giving Eden Prairie a commanding 85-59 lead with 4:30 remaining in the second half.
This was Eden Prairie’s first win since head coach David Flom’s suspension on Dec. 8.
The Eagles did not play their Dec. 13 game against Prior Lake, and lost to Farmington on Friday night.
Assistant coach and assistant activities director Trevor Mbakwe has taken over head coaching duties in Flom’s absence.
The Eagles next game is at East Ridge on Thursday night.
