Nuts & Bolts Ecology of Native Plant Communities – Online

Do you want to take your gardening game to the next level and move beyond simply planting native? Kaitlyn O’Conner’s presentation will delve deep into the ecology of historic plant communities, and how our efforts to promote sustainability and biodiversity can be guided by these natural assemblages. We will discuss past and present efforts to understand our local flora, explore the free Minnesota Natural Resource Atlas mapping tool, and learn how to use the Minnesota DNR Field Guides to the Native Plant Communities of Minnesota to inform ecological restoration and landscape design.
