Eden Prairie firefighters welcomed residents to Neighborhood Night at the Fire Station, a special event held at all four city fire stations on Thursday.
The goal was to bring families to their neighborhood fire stations to meet the firefighters, tour the facilities, and see what the inside of a fire truck looks like. Children practiced spraying water with fire hoses, tried on bulky gear, and posed for photos in the front seats of the big red trucks, while adults asked firefighters questions about their roles in protecting the city.
The behind-the-scenes look offered locals, young and old, a chance to get hands-on with equipment and gain an up-close appreciation for these everyday heroes in their community. Photos accompanying this story captured some of these moments at Station 2, located at 12100 Sunnybrook Road.
