The Eden Prairie girls tennis team defeated the Shakopee Sabers 6-1 on Monday at the Round Lake tennis courts.
The Eagles went 3-1 in singles matches, with Lakshanya Selvakumar, Mya Maras, and Ziwei “Weiwei” Chen all winning in straight sets. Rhea Sastri was the lone winner for the Sabers in singles, defeating Sahana Murthy in straight sets.
EP also swept the doubles matches, with Maya Varikuti/Elzeda “Zadie” Walvatne, Sravika Vadrevu/Addison Premo, and Tessa Plourde/Celia Skubic all winning in straight sets.
Upcoming matches include Mahtomedi on Wednesday, Sept. 6, and Roseville on Friday, Sept. 8, both at home.
