The Eden Prairie Lioness Lions Club is now accepting applications from nonprofit organizations seeking annual donations of up to $1,500.
These funds, set to be distributed in January 2024, aim to bolster nonprofit or tax-exempt programs that enhance the local community’s livability and work environment. Interested groups have until Oct. 31 to submit their applications.
Over the years, the club’s charitable endeavors have made a significant impact. Beneficiaries of its contributions include local charities such as Let’s Go Fishing, PROP Food, Fraser, The PROP Shop of Eden Prairie, Cornerstone, Eden Prairie Meals on Wheels, Eden Prairie Crime Prevention Fund, TRAIL, Movefwd, and Choice Inc.
The Eden Prairie Lioness Lions Club is well-known for its civic contributions, hosting events such as the Art & Craft Fair, which takes place this year on Dec. 2 at Grace Church. Additionally, the club collaborates with the Lions Club for events, including Schooner Days and the Corn Feed. Revenue from these events is channeled into donations for national and local causes.
