The hiring of architectural and design services for the upcoming police remodeling project is among the items on the Tuesday, Jan. 2, agenda of the Eden Prairie City Council.
City staff is recommending the council approve a $988,300 contract with Boarman Kroos Vogel Group (BKV Group), whose proposal is $200,700 less than an estimate provided by Wold Architects and Engineers.
The firm would provide design concepts, schematics, and a final design plan, and also provide architectural oversight as the west end of the Eden Prairie City Center at 8080 Mitchell Road is renovated for use by the Police Department, currently in smaller space in the building’s east-end basement.
Approval of the contract is one of a number of items on the council’s consent agenda that are typically OK’d with a single vote.
Tuesday’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Eden Prairie City Center.
