Eden Prairie’s Performing Institute of Minnesota (PiM) Arts High School invites the community to its Spark the Arts fundraiser event on Thursday, April 4, as it celebrates 20 years of supporting and educating young artists.
The evening event, which includes a buffet dinner, will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Chaska Event Center in Chaska.
Rob Thompson, PiM Arts High’s director of communications and development, said, “Since our start in 2004 at the little school in Hopkins, PiM has welcomed high schoolers in our doors to grow as artists, as students, and most of all as thoughtful humans.
“We are so very proud of our alumni and current student artists, and look forward to what amazing things will happen in the future. This celebration will help us raise funds to support those young artists’ dreams.”
Karen Charles, founding director of MSSPA/PiM, will give Spark the Arts’ keynote address, followed by a performance by her dance company, Threads. The Chris Thomson Quartet will headline the evening, which will include music performed by students and alumni.
The event will feature Crooked Pint’s Juicy Lucy Bar, and gluten-free/vegetarian options will also be available. Fun features include a 50/50 prize draw, a Wine Grab, and other entertainment throughout the night.
Tickets are $50 per person for admission and the buffet meal and can be purchased here. In addition to buying tickets, community members can use the same link to donate and buy wine pull tickets.
