The No. 3-ranked Prior Lake girls lacrosse team defeated No. 7-ranked Eden Prairie 16-12 on Saturday afternoon at Aerie Stadium.
The Eagles, who trailed the Lakers 9-5 at halftime, rallied with four quick goals within the first 2:06 of the third quarter to tie the game at 9.
Senior midfielder Josie Wallace led the Eagles in scoring with four goals, while freshman attacker Kelsey Pottinger, sophomore attacker Sara David, and junior midfielder Macey Haase each contributed two goals.
The loss drops Eden Prairie’s record to 9-2. Next, Eden Prairie travels to Wayzata for a 5:30 p.m. game on Thursday, May 18, marking their final road game of the regular season.
