Detours Ahead: I-494 Construction Updates

Webinar to provide updates on I-494 road construction

Join Commuter Services and the Minnesota Department of Transportation from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, for the free webinar, Detours Ahead: I-494 Construction Updates.

The 2024 construction season has brought many changes to the I-494 corridor; still more are to come through the end of this year and into 2025 and 2026. In this webinar, MnDOT I-494 Construction Manager Tim Clyne will take a look back at what has been done, and what it yet to come including:

• I-494 / I-35W roadway and bridge construction
• Ramp reconstruction and realignment
• Retaining wall, noise wall, and drainage construction
• Local roadway and utility work
• Bicycle and pedestrian facilities

Clyne will also cover highlights of work proposed for 2025 and 2026, and information on the adjacent I-494 Bridge Over Minnesota River construction project.

Commuter Services will share information about free resources available to help ease the impacts of traveling in construction traffic.
