Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) crews have reopened Highway 101 to local traffic at Purgatory Creek in Eden Prairie and Chanhassen.
On Aug. 22, workers closed Highway 101 between Choctaw Circle and Sandy Hook Road/Lotus View Drive while improving drainage at Purgatory Creek.
In June, Highway 101 closed in both directions between County Road 62 in Eden Prairie and Highway 5 in Chanhassen, and is only open to traffic seeking a destination within the project area.
Drivers follow a posted detour. Southbound drivers are routed to Highway 7, west to Highway 41, south to Highway 5, and east to Highway 101. Northbound drivers are routed to Highway 5, west to Powers Boulevard, north to Highway 7, and east to Highway 101.
MnDOT crews began work on the Highway 101 project in June and anticipate completing the project in late October.
