Wings of the North Veterans Day
Wings of the North will be celebrating Veterans Day on Sunday, November 10, 2024, by offering free admission to the WOTN Air Museum on Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie. The free admission is for everyone, not just veterans, but veterans of all branches of the armed forces are specifically invited so we can say thank you.
The WOTN Air Museum is a Minnesota-themed aviation museum. Displays include a
full sized replica of the Spirit of St. Louis which Minnesotan Charles Lindbergh flew
nonstop across the Atlantic Ocean in 1927, becoming the first person to accomplish that feat. This replica was built for the 1957 movie starring Jimmy Stewart as Lindbergh. For many years it was displayed in the main passenger terminal at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. Other aircraft plus many unique aviation artifacts and pieces of aviation artwork are also on display.
Regular WOTN Air Museum hours are 11am to 3pm every Saturday and Sunday and it
is available for private tours and parties at other times. The museum is located at 14857
Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie MN 55347 which is just inside Gate H on the northwest
corner of Flying Cloud Airport. Follow the instructions at the call box for entry to the
airport and then follow the signs to the museum.
