With a forecast for snow accumulation of 2 inches or more, the City of Eden Prairie has declared a Snow Event effective Tuesday Dec. 29 through Wednesday 30. As soon as snow accumulation reaches two inches, a Snow Emergency is in effect.Once the Snow Emergency begins, do not park on City streets until noon Dec. 30.Crews will work to maintain safe and passable roadways and perform a full curb-to-curb cleanup beginning at 3 a.m.

The delay in receipt of a required safety fence has Kristine Stehly checking her email daily. Stehly is the project manager for the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority who is coordinating the re-opening of Minnesota River Bluffs LRT Regional Trail between Pioneer Trail and Great Plains Boulevard (101). Originally closed in 2014 due to heavy rains which destabilized the former railroad embankment the trail reopening was near completion in November of 2020. With 100% of votes counted, Minnesota State Representative Carlie Kotyza-Witthuhn (D) held her seat against challenger Holly Link (R). According to the Minnesota Secretary of State’s office, Kotyza-Witthuhn garnered 13,201 votes for 55.01% of the vote. Link received 10,784 votes for 44.94% of the total.
