An ad for the 2025 Everything Spring Expo from the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce

The Eden Prairie High School boys basketball team suffered an 82-77 away loss to Benilde-St. Margaret’s on Thursday, Dec. 7, bringing their season record to 0-2. Eagles sophomore guard Nolen Anderson led the team in scoring with 20 points, supported by senior forward Parker Fahning with 16 points and junior guard Max Lorenson with 11 points. Sophomore guard Hamze Yusuf and freshman forward Ty Schlagel each added 8 points. The Eagles are now focusing on their next game, where they will host Prior Lake at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

On a chilly Oct. 7, the Eden Prairie High School’s performance team hosted its eighth annual Fall Showcase. The showcase featured teams from Edina, Blaine, Minnetonka, Holy Family, and Delano high schools. The Eden Prairie Performance Team (EPPT) is an elite group of dancers who provide entertainment at school events. The Eden Prairie girls tennis team defeated the Shakopee Sabers 6-1 on Monday at the Round Lake tennis courts. The Eagles went 3-1 in singles matches, with Lakshanya Selvakumar, Mya Maras, and Ziwei “Weiwei” Chen all winning in straight sets. Rhea Sastri was the lone winner for the Sabers in singles, defeating Sahana Murthy in straight sets. EP also swept the doubles matches, with Maya Varikuti/Elzeda “Zadie” Walvatne, Sravika Vadrevu/Addison Premo, and Tessa Plourde/Celia Skubic all winning in straight sets. Upcoming matches include Mahtomedi on Wednesday, Sept. 6, and Roseville on Friday, Sept. 8, both at home.

Eden Prairie firefighters welcomed residents to Neighborhood Night at the Fire Station, a special event held at all four city fire stations on Thursday. The goal was to bring families to their neighborhood fire stations to meet the firefighters, tour the facilities, and see what the inside of a fire truck looks like. Children practiced spraying water with fire hoses, tried on bulky gear, and posed for photos in the front seats of the big red trucks, while adults asked firefighters questions about their roles in protecting the city.
