The Eden Prairie boys hockey team suffered a narrow defeat in a hard-fought game on Thursday at the Pagel Activity Center against top-ranked Minnetonka, falling 4-3. Minnetonka scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period, and the team was able to maintain their lead for the remainder of the game. With this win, Minnetonka retains its top spot in the Class 2A Boys rankings. The Eden Prairie girls hockey team suffered a heartbreaking defeat on Friday in the Section 2AA Quarterfinals game, losing 2-1 to Prior Lake in the second overtime period. Although both teams had numerous chances to score during two overtime periods, Prior Lake ultimately sealed the victory by scoring the winning goal with 4:57 remaining in the fifth frame, ending the Eagles’ season. The Eden Prairie girls basketball team lost 64-58 at home to the No. 1 ranked Hopkins on Tuesday night. Senior forward Kylie Bamlett (4) was one of the standout players for the Eagles, scoring 8 points and collecting 10 rebounds.
