Letterpress Printing: Power of the Press

Learn about the history and power of the printing press as a tool for sharing information, and experience using a printing press while printing a unique message! As a group, choose a word or short phrase of up to three words (this could be a protest poster, a quote, etc.). The teaching artist will work with the group to handset type with their text and each participant will choose a paper color, apply ink and print at least one copy to take home. Materials provided. Collaborator: Minnesota Center for Book Arts. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
