Mother Nature and the Artist

Discover the breathtaking beauty of nature through the eyes of renowned plein air artist Ylli Haruni in his captivating exhibition, Mother Nature and the Artist. Many of the works featured in this show were painted right here on the Minnesota Valley Chapter property, making this a truly special opportunity to see familiar landscapes transformed into stunning pieces of art.

Haruni shares:
“This show is the reflection of my fascinating relationship with Mother Nature; it’s a transformation of my love for nature into my artwork. Nature for me is a powerful source of inspiration and has been for all the artists throughout history who have approached nature in their own unique ways. My approach leans toward impressionism, trying to catch the impression of the subject by simplifying it, muting or leaving out elements that don’t add to the painting, and emphasizing the elements that strengthen the point of interest. I’m a plein air artist, an outdoor artist. Most of my landscapes are painted on location. Mother Nature is my best model; she never gets tired of posing for me.”

Join us for the open house, where Ylli Haruni will be painting live on site, offering a rare glimpse into his creative process as he works under the open sky. Witness how he transforms the landscapes we cherish into vibrant, impressionistic masterpieces.

Don’t miss this unique chance to connect with the art, the artist, and the natural beauty that inspires us all. Haruni’s work will leave you with a newfound appreciation for both nature and the power of art to capture its essence.
